Just checking

I recently acquired a digital camera. Its been sitting in its box since I brought it home weeks ago. The thought of going through the manual, uploading the software etc., was daunting. Today I bit the bullet and opened the box. I did all that the instructions in the manual said, or at least I hope I did. You see, I am sadly very wanting in the technical department, but I needed to check that I could successfully take a photo with the camera, upload the photo to my computer and post it on the blog. Yippee! I did it! By the way, that's me peeking out of the mirror, lol.

At the top is the view from my desk. :)

Seems like a good camera to me!! What kind is it? *dont go off taking some compromising images with the camera as yet eh ;)*

Hi Naijadude, I had to go back to the box to check in order to be able to tell you that the camera is a Canon PowerShot A470. Pretty standard, I was told at the store. I made it clear I wanted nothing too complicated. Even this one is complicated enough as it is. :(

Anyway, I think I'm over the worst. No compromising photos, I promise. :)

I can only see a plant in the mirror, is that you? lol!

Hi Tamaku, very funny, lol. Trust you to say something like that. With the technical prowess that you possess, surely you know to click on the photo such that you see a larger version of it. After you've done that if you put your face close to your screen, you just might spot a human lurking somewhere behind the plants...lol

Now I see you after almost kissing the monitor! Or half you. Excellent reading choice (re Kenya guidebook), loving the decor too. Show us more, please please...

@Tamaku, yup, thats half of me. The other half youre going to have to wait for until we meet.. Show more of what? Me or the flat? :)

@Rox, I'm seriously considering posting some nude photos, once I know how to manipulate this camera enough to be able to take photos of myself. And about the book case, I've been trodding in and out of that charity second-hand bookstore up the road from where I live. :)

You've got quite the green thumb I see. And what's that pile of papers and folders on the bottom shelf - manuscripts eh?! Nice place.

Oh thanks Mama Shujaa. Yes I do love the plants. Pity I live in a flat and don't have an outdoor garden. But all of my windowsills are absolutely covered with plants.

The pile of papers is just stuff from work that was crowding my office and needed a place to be stored. I really should box them. I was quietly hoping nobody would notice those...lol

Leave them, they are inspiring...the papers.
