How truly sad...just watching & comparing both performances of the same song a few years apart tells the whole story..I really respected Amy too...at least her tormented soul is now at rest. While we await the post-mortem & toxicology reports on her body,I do hope something +ve comes out of her untimely death in the manner of waking people up ( esp teens) to reality of the dangers of drink & drugs, much in the same way Jade Goody's demise to cervical cancer resulted in an uptake in the rate of smears among women in the reproductive age.
Yes, C'est moi, like you, my wish is that some good comes out if this, although I can't be too optimistic, since there is a long history of celebrity deaths at a young age from drug related causes, a prior history that did not prevent Amy's death..I've been scouring the internet for people's views on this and the preponderance of the comments that I've seen, are those that shrug off the death and blame it on her and on her self-destructive tendencies. Some have pointed out that drug addiction is an illness, but still a few others have responded, despite all the negativity towards drug taking currently filling the air, with comments like, "I like drugs!" Hahaha, go figure..
